A reflective shopping bag may look clean in a product photograph yet meet many surfaces before it reaches a customer. If a buyer and supplier have not agreed what visible change is acceptable, the same delivered bag can receive two different judgments.
The useful buying question is not whether every metallic bag is scratch-proof. It is how to test the proposed finished surface and packing route before releasing quantity.
Direct answer: test the finished bag through its real contact journey
Keep one finished metallic bag as the clean reference, photograph named inspection zones, run another bag through the actual unpack-stack-pack-carry-repack sequence, then compare both under the same light. Record visible lines, dulling, color transfer or other surface change without assuming a universal pass threshold. Approve only the tested finish, handling route and pack-out.

Map every surface the bag will touch

List the carton or outer pack, any separator, neighboring bags, stockroom shelf, packing counter, tissue, boxes, garment tags, staff hands, customer clothing and the place where a filled bag may be set down. Separate surface appearance from structural performance
This check answers a cosmetic handling question. It does not prove load capacity, handle strength, seam durability or water resistance. Test the packed weight requirement and structural behavior separately, using a supplier-confirmed method appropriate to the proposed bag.
