What Size Gift Bag Should a Realtor Use for a Closing Gift?

A real-estate closing gift can be a key folder and welcome card, a wrapped local product, or a box containing several home items. Those gifts may share one agency identity, but they do not automatically share one packed shape. If the bag is chosen before the finished gift is assembled, staff can end up with excess empty space, a rigid corner that catches at the opening, or a closing-day presentation that changes from one client to the next.

Direct answer: assemble the exact gift first, measure its finished width, height and depth, then test the smallest plausible bag. This product lists four candidates: 35 × 26 × 8 cm, 42 × 32 × 10 cm, 50 × 40 × 13 cm and 60 × 45 × 14 cm. The dimensions create a useful shortlist; only a physical packing and handoff trial can approve the size.

Freeze the closing gift before choosing the bag

Create one complete reference set exactly as the client will receive it. Include every primary box, sleeve, tissue layer, card, document folder and insert. Keep fragile, liquid, food or otherwise regulated items in their own verified primary packaging. This outer tote is not evidence of breakage protection, leak containment, food contact or load capacity.

Place the finished set on a flat surface and record its greatest relaxed width, height and depth. Mark any rigid corner and decide the intended insertion orientation. Do not compress a soft item, discard a presentation layer or turn a box awkwardly just to make a preferred bag pass.

Give each listed size a measurable role

35 × 26 × 8 cm: compact presentation candidate

Start here for a thin, completed set such as documents, a card and one compact packaged item. The listed 8 cm depth is the first limiting dimension to check. Approve it only if the gift enters without forced bending, remains below the opening and leaves both handles easy to reach.

42 × 32 × 10 cm: everyday mixed-gift candidate

This option adds width, height and 2 cm of listed depth. It is a logical next test for a compact box combined with a card or flat folder. Record the exact failure solved by moving up. The word Medium is not a fit result.

50 × 40 × 13 cm: larger boxed-set candidate

Shortlist this size when a recurring closing gift has a wider face or deeper rigid box. Watch presentation as well as entry clearance: a small gift can look lost in a large carrier, and tissue added merely to fill space can create unnecessary work.

60 × 45 × 14 cm: measured exception candidate

The extra-large row should solve a real, recurring envelope, not become the default because it feels safer. Test it for a named larger gift set and confirm that the finished handoff remains controllable. The listed dimensions do not establish a weight rating.

Run a closing-day handoff rehearsal

Pack the reference gift using the agency's real workstation and sequence. Insert the finished set, let it settle naturally, finish the top presentation, lift by both handles, walk a short route and place it on the client-facing surface. Then ask another staff member to remove the gift without tipping or snagging it.

Reject the size if staff must push a rigid corner, hide the handles with tissue, compress the gift, support the bottom because of an unverified weight concern, or change the intended presentation. Separate three decisions: dimensional fit, item protection and required weight. Passing one does not prove the other two.

Use ten handoffs to validate a repeatable standard

The product currently lists both 10-Pack and 50-Pack options. A 10-Pack can support a controlled ready-made trial for one exact Style and Size row. It is not evidence of a custom manufacturing MOQ. Use the ten bags for ten prepared closing gifts or rehearsals with the same reference set, and record packing time qualitatively, staff corrections, client-facing appearance and any move-up trigger.

After the pilot, approve one core bag role. Add a second size only when a recurring gift envelope fails the core role for a documented dimension. This keeps storage and staff decisions simpler while preserving an honest exception path.

Factory release note: specify the packed gift, not “medium”

A useful sourcing record names every component and its primary packaging, insertion orientation, finished W × H × D envelope, rigid zones, opening path, handle requirement, required weight, exact approved stock row and approver. For a custom project, add artwork dimensions and placement, material and construction requirements, color references, quantity, proof or sample requirements and schedule for supplier confirmation.

Do not treat the ready-made bag as approval of a future custom bag. A custom size, logo, color or construction changes the specification and requires its own confirmation. Once the physical gift and core carrier role are proven, the agency can review custom non-woven tote options without losing the measured reference.

Make the closing gift repeatable

The best realtor closing-gift bag is not automatically the largest one. It is the smallest exact size that accepts the complete protected gift, presents it consistently and survives a repeatable staff handoff. Build the gift, measure it, prove one 10-Pack role and keep larger sets as named exceptions.
